Bodycare Clinic Help and Advice
Arthritis

There are many forms of arthritis, the most common form is Osteoarthritis, which is a degenerative joint disease, usually as a result of trauma to the joint, infection of the joint, over-use or age.
There are a number of things you can do to help your condition.
Gentle stretching daily to maintain tissue elasticity and joint mobility
Walk regularly, shorter distances to keep circulation healthy and maintain muscle tone -don't over do it!
A daily rest – to recover energy for the rest of the day's activities
The use of trainers or similar footwear can help to reduce wear and tear to the knee and hip joints, and can also help reduce back pain when walking on hard pavements
Joint supplements may help, evidence though can be contradictory.
