Shingles

Having recently overcome shingles himself, Clinical Director Steve Palmer knows only too well the pain that is associated with the condition.

Pain can occur in many parts of the body, however it is normally around the chest, and follows the lines of the ribs.

The condition usually begins with fairly acute pain, next comes the characteristic rash and then skin blisters.

Treatment consists of putting acupuncture needles around the affected area then using Osteopathic treatment to free the affected nerve, where appropriate. As the pain decreases the area treated with needles also gets smaller.

The combination is very effective for this particular very painful condition.

Steve used this treatment himself to great effect.

He has also helped many patients with the pain of shingles, the areas affected ranged from pain around the head and face, to the chest.
