Visit your GP if you have not exercised before or have taken a prolonged break
Warm up before, and warm down after exercise.
Use a personal trainer or coach for correct technique.
Take time for rest and recovery.
Keep hydrated!
Don't work on empty; eat a small meal at least 2 hours before exercising.
Listen to your body, if it hurts STOP and seek medical advice.
Gradually increase intensity and time of exercise.
Wear correct clothing for your sport.
Choose sports that compliment each other.
