Mr Stephen Palmer D.O. M.R.O.

Stephen Palmer D.O. Clinic Director
Four years of full time study at the British School of Osteopathy culminated in my graduation in 1991. In the same year, here in Crawley, I set up my practice - the ‘Bodycare Clinic’ - at the Crawley Leisure Centre. The Bodycare Clinic is now based in ‘K2’ in Pease Pottage, Crawley’s fabulous new sport and leisure centre. I have attended many post graduate courses including Acupuncture & Dry Needling and Post Operative Rehabilitation in a Hospital environment. In addition I have many years of experience in the field of Cranial Osteopathy, an area that can be particularly effective in treating both headaches and migraines in adults and colic in young babies. My youngest patient to date was a 2.5 lb premature baby, my oldest was 104 years of age and my largest was a Shire Horse as I am also a practitioner in Equine Osteopathy. So, you can see that Osteopathy has benefits for people of all ages. I was fortunate to have been one of the first Osteopaths to work in the Primary Care Trust for the NHS. For five years I worked with twelve GP’s in three local practices. During this period I was also able to attend a number of courses including those on sports injury and treating pregnant ladies. Recently I have been studying regularly with Dental and Osteopathic specialists both here and in the USA on courses concerned with new treatment in TMJ the relief of jaw pain and headaches. As a consequence of my collaboration and study with these highly respected teachers I am now treating patients from all over the UK, Europe and even the United States of America.

All our Osteopaths are fully qualified and registered with the General Osteopathic Council. It is my belief that Osteopathy should be a process of continuous development and discovery. It is for this reason that I encourage all my practitioners to participate in the in-house study groups and courses ensuring that we embrace all the latest developments and skills available to our profession. At the Bodycare Clinic our aim is always to offer the best possible, friendly, professional, up to date, accurate care, treatment and advice. At both locations our clinics are based in the Health Suite. This allows us to collaborate with on-site gym instructors in order to gear treatment, care, advice and rehabilitation around the needs of the individual. We understand that the patient’s main concern is to be helped as much as possible, to become pain free. At the Bodycare Clinic this is our goal too. Should you require a friendly chat about your complaints or wish to make an appointment with one of the clinic team, then please feel free to give us a call.
